Panic

Panicking a little now thanks to a week of picking and snacking. Yes I’ve made healthy meals and desserts

Like this dessert here, sugar free strawberry jelly, made up with hot and cold water and 1/4 tub of 0% Greek yogurt whisked in then put in fridge to set. Then topped with squirting cream, very yummy. We all had some.
Made a lovely turkey and syn free sausage dinner.
Went for a walk after tea with J and Neil, it was lovely out.

Whoo hoo I Lost

Yes, I lost. I stepped on the scales at Slimming World tonight and I have lost another 3 lbs making 7 lbs altogether in 3 weeks. I won slimmer of the week, winning a basket of fruit.

! Did come home and ermmmm……… Well today’s syns are 45. Gulp. Meant to be like up to 15 a day. So it means I have to be super good the rest of the week.
What did I eat?
4 peanut hi fi bars
10 Ritz crackers, those little ones, pesky things.
Some crusty bread n butter this morning.
On the other hand I did have a super healthy turkey stew for evening meal tonight. Got some healthy food in from Sainsburys. The only other thing I have to watch this week is inactivity as when I’m in work I do quite a bit of walking too and fro. So being off till next Tuesday, not good if I sit on my butt all week.
I so want to get under 11 stone, being only 4 ft 11 in height means really I need to be under 9 stone. Wouldn’t mind being a few inches taller!!!!!

Inactive

Yep, I’ve had quite an inactive week so far on my week off from work. I always have plans to get out, do some walks (preferably with Neil and J and R), but it never happens.
I so much want for us to all go out together. The only time we do is for the occasional meal out.
I have felt down this week, mainly because I knew we would do nothing much all week. So it’s easier to stay in bed. Easier to just sleep.
Am really looking forward to joining Slimming Workd this time round. A different group, a bit of help and motivation and encouragement.
J has the car in Uni today. R has gone back to sleep, Neil’s on the computer. What to do? I have no enthusiasm for anything. None at all. At least I’m back in work on Tuesday.

What calories?

I fail to see how since I don’t overeat that I am not losing weight? Maybe I should go on the tv programme Secret Eaters to see how I am eating. What did I eat today?
Chicken and tinned tomatoes.
2 chocolate options drinks.
Lean bacon and tomatoes.
1 Turkey escalope.
2 toast.
1 banana.
Wonder what that adds to in calories?
My work uniform is like WAY too tight. Ok when I’m standing up but a buggar when I’m sitting down.
I have very little self control over my eating at the moment, that plus I can’t be bothered.

Why can’t I eat sensibly and do some gentle walking each day at least. Not a lot to ask is it?

Wednesday’s blog, 13th Nov

Spent Saturday in Manchester with J. DID a lot of walking but ate rubbish. Food court food, not healthy.
Still pretty much managing to avoid chocolate. Though have been craving drinks of hot chocolate!!!!!
Exercise? No not really. Once again I’ll aim to walk to work tomorrow if I can get up on time.
Got my birthday pressy studio photo shoot on Saturday.
( 2 1/2 hrs in photo studio, 3 outfit changes, glass of bubbly, hair and make-up done.)
Only got 2 outfits. Wish I was skinnier for the shoot. Feeling FAT is not nice. You get 2 six by four sized photos free and of course they want you to buy more. Pity I can’t afford any. Kinda looking forward to it, but dreading it too.
Although I take a lot of photos of myself I absolutely hate having my photo taken.
Made a yummy shepherds pie for us all tonight, though R did not want any. Trying to get us all as a family to eat healthier is not easy. We all seem to eat at different times too.
Got my diabetic check up at the hospital on Friday morning. Wonder how that will go? I know my Hba1c is too high.

Walked to Heswall today and only had a skinny latte in Thornton s, how good is that and I didn’t eat the little biscuit they give you with your coffee.
Was going to walk home, but after meandering round some shops I was desperate for a wee, so J came for me in the car.
Fell asleep for bit in afternoon, yes I know, that’s very lazy.

Think I’ll go for walk to the village tomorrow and pop n see Neil’s dad. Other than that, no plans.

Work and weigh-in

Got weighed in work today. I had stayed the same.phew!!!!!!!

Went for a walk, in the rain round the lake tonight with Colette. It was raining but felt good going for a walk.

Colette and I look cold but it wasn’t cold actually. I think if it wasn’t for Colette texting me, making me go for walks, then I probably wouldn’t go. So thank you Colette.

Was v naughty and had thin crust plain pizza tonight but didn’t eat all of it.

Will walk to Heswall tomorrow morning I think. The more walking I do the better.

Lovely time away

I have been away in the Lake District since Friday evening, got back this morning. Had a totally lovely and relaxing time.

In Lancaster.Had a livelihood round the shops here. Sun was shining. Had lunch in the Novel Cafe surrounded by books. Bought my pretty summer dress here.

It was a gorgeous resort.we were very lucky to have good weather. We did a fair bit of walking in Bowness, Grasmere, Keswick, Lancaster, Morecombe. It was lovely of Elaine to ask would I like to go along to the lodge for a break.

It’s nice to be home, but I did enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Pine Lodge Resort.

Back to stress eating eh?!!!!!!!!
Back in work on Thursday, no plans for tomorrow or Wednesday.

Family meals

How come we are sitting here arguing about what is a good ‘diet’? Though we do all agree, we need to plan our meals more. We are all trying to lose weight yet none of us are being particularly successful. Also does not help that we all live a sedentary lifestyle. R barely goes out of the house, same for Neil. J will make more of an effort and go for walks. I work 5 days a week and have been walking to and from work.
I enjoyed my walk to work this morning, Sun shining, listening to my music as I walked (Busted, Weezer, McFly, Avril Lavigne, Paramore).

Was meant to go on a picnic in the afternoon, it got cancelled.
Had a meeting at R’ s school. Far too hot to sit in a classroom.
Watching Bitchin Kitchen – brilliant and funny.
Well, aiming to walk to work tomorrow as long as I don’t oversleep.
