Motivated

Feeling motivated. That’s not to say I couldn’t stuff my face with hmmmm….. chocolate, donuts, cream cakes, sweets etc!!!!
But hey I’m trying to be good here.
What’s cheesing me off is there is no pattern to my blood sugars. Though am fairly consistent with hypos, getting them if I ‘run’ around a lot (being busy), or if I over estimate my insulin needs v my food. Otherwise blood sugars are around 12 to 15 mostly, grrrrrrrr……
I put my levemir up am and pm from 14 to 20. If I eat at night I am always higher in the morning no matter how spot on I get the novorapid. I try to eat no carb if I’ve got to snack at night.
Am eating fairly low carb most days cept for when I have massive cravings.
I’ve stopped taking the beta blockers cos they set off intermittent claudication. Not done much if any walking last few days so don’t know if that’s improved. Perhaps it wasn’t the beta blockers fault?
Weather’s been lovely today, been in work though.

Oh dear donuts

Wish I hadn’t pressed the snooze button so many times on the alarm this morning, would have been nice to walk to work.
Usual sort of day in work. Wasted a whopping 566 calories on a not too nice chicken and stuffing baguette from the shop at work.

Then to top it all off I ate 2 ring donuts covered in pink icing and hundreds and thousands. DID I really need 2?
I did go on the treadmill for 10 minutes in the evening!

Just sitting watching Sarah Millican on tv now with a nice cup of decaffeinated coffee. Early night for me, then some reading before I go to sleep. I would like to walk to work in the morning.

Getting weighed

Ok, so we all hopped on the scales this morning. This is our starting weights. I won’t publish Neil’s, J or R’ s. But I will update weekly to how much they’ve lost.
I’ve gained a lb over this holiday but it feels more like 10.

Am tired of feeling FAT and flabby. I can easily use my stomach as a table to rest my food/drink/book/kindle on!!!!!!! As I’ve said before, I need to lose minimum 28 lbs.
Thinking of low carbing which is meant to be better for my blood sugars too. Seems unfair that since I only drink about twice a year now, that it has made no difference to my weight.

Still got a bottle of champagne in the fridge that I got for my 50th.
Well, am going next door for a coffee.

Physio day

Decided to get a tattoo for my 50th birthday! No, it’s not a mid-life crisis! Been thinking about it for years, now’s the time to do it!
Though about tattooing ‘Remember Diet’ on my wrist!
Went to physio for my frozen shoulder earlier after work. Last week I had accupuncture, this week was deep tissue massage…….painful.
Reading my old Cathys Weightloss Diary (available on Kindle and in colour paperback and black n white paperback. I was funny back then even if I do say so myself!!!!!! It was online from 2001 tp 2012.
Off to a friends tonight for a coffee. J is making a chicken curry for later. Yummy.

J’ s cookies

J MADE COOKIES, VERY YUMMY, ATE TOO MANY, GRRRRRRRR. Nice sunny day out. DID manage to sleep in till mid-day, bit of a waste of a lovely day.
Made a yummy soup for work lunch tomorrow, celery, leek, onion and quinioa. DID some gardening, mowed the grass and managed to cut through the extension cable.
OMG was soooooooo bloated in the evening, looked 12 months pregnant, ie very huge stomach. Went to next door neighbour L’ s for a coffee, we both had a moan about how we’re not losing weight. Are we really trying? Errrrr………. No.
